Spirit Week

Spirit Week was this week. and can I just say that people here are big on school spirit because they get points and whatever. It's kinda hard to explain, but whatever. For Spirit Week this year, every class chose a city anywhere in the world. We had to decorate a classroom like that city and then on Monday of Spirit Week, we had to come dressed like stuff in the city. Our city was San Juan cuz we're bomb like that. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of our room, but it was bomb as well. The first picture is a kid that came as a famous statue of Juan Ponce de Leon, and if you don't know who that is, he's famous, so go look him up. Anyway, the majority of our class came as tourists. I couldn't get very good pictures because we were doing our little thing (for about a half hour every morning, every class acts out their theme. The thing is, we're doing it at the same time, so it's pretty much chaos! It's awesome.) All the tourists were on a tour of Old San Juan. The dean of students dressed up like an old guy that walks around selling lottery tickets. Our english (British Literature, actually) teacher came as the first female governor (you should look her up as well, and then tell me who she is, cuz I don't even know). We also had someone dress up like an old guy that plays dominos, because that's really big here. It was pretty much awesome.

Tuesday was Clash Day. The seniors decided to do a clash wedding, aka everyone come dress disgustingly and it was basically a wedding gone wrong. The bride and groom were grossies, and when the nasty priest said the line about anyone objecting, someone from the back (a grossy) ran up, out of breath, and professed her love, after which the groom also professed his secret love to her, after which both sides of the family started fighting. Needless to say, we won that day. But I don't have any pictures of that, because I had my free period first, so I came after the whole thing was over. But seniors won anyway.
Which brings us to Wednesday, Toy Day. The seniors theme was scary dolls. I didn't know which doll to dress as, so I just came in jammies, and claimed to be a doll in jammies. Anyway, so when we were supposed to be acting our theme out, we just sat there, looking like broken dolls, and would scream randomly. It was bomb. Except for when a hard hat fell on my head. Then I felt like I would die, but I figured that if my head broke and blood started coming down my face, it would only enhance my costume, so I didn't complain.

This kid came as a Joker doll. He was bomb. So this is me and the Joker.

Those jammies are silky and they shine in the sun. They are my moms, but I would not advise the wearer to wear them all day, as you will get criticized.

You got criticized for wearing your mom's pajamas? What a surprise! ;)
