it’s that time again—time to dedicate a post.
i hope you don’t get annoyed.
but this is a special one.
you see, 19 years ago today, two very lucky parents welcomed a beautiful baby girl into this world.
they probably didn’t know that she would grow up to be such an awesome individual.
they probably didn’t know that she would go to byu.
they probably didn’t know that she would live at roman gardens her first year.
they probably didn’t know that she would be my next-door neighbor.
they probably didn’t know that she would own a dreamie.
they probably didn’t know that i would have a snuggie.
they probably didn’t know that we would have snuggie/dreamie parties.
they probably didn’t know that we would become facebook friends but wouldn’t have a single picture together.
they probably didn’t know that she would grow up to be the sweetest, kindest girl in the world (but they probably hoped she would).
they probably didn’t know that she would have a magic touch when it came to food...
so they probably didn’t know that she would grow up and make the most delicious cookies and brownies and snickerdoodles (that are yummy even when brenton messes them up) and pies and...ok let’s face it. when she goes into the kitchen and starts baking, glorious things come to pass. every time.
they probably didn’t know that her favorite kitchen utensil would be her pastry blender.
that’s why they gave her normal, boring baby toys.
i’m sure that when her parents were holding her for the first time, they didn’t know a lot about where she would end up, but that didn’t really matter.
because all that mattered was that they were holding a very special little girl in their arms.
and that’s why they named her maryellen fowles.
love you girl :)
