“sisters never quite forgive each other for what happened when they were five.”–pam brown

i would like to commend you, pam brown.
you captured my sentiments exactly.
well sort of.
let me explain.
no there is too much.
let me sum up.
so i have this sister i like to call dizz.
some people call her emily.
whatever.
for those of you who have no idea who i’m talking about...
meet dizz.
Photo 150
she is my beautiful and refined older seeeester.
we are great friends now.
but it hasn’t always been this way.
example 1
once upon a time, tenery was 5 and emily was 13 or 14. (the ages are mere approximations)
emily had a bunch of her friends over.
tenery wanted to hang out with them.
dizz had other ideas, however.
so dizz and her friends left the house and started walking down the street.
tenery tried following.
except it got kinda hard when they all looked at each other then took off running away from the poor toddler.
yes, dizz and her friends ran away from me.
i’ve been traumatized ever since.
except sometimes she comes and visits me and that makes things better.
for instance, she came and stayed with me this past weekend.
we had lots of fun.
probably too much.
except i wasn’t really home at all.
and she was cooped up in my room, working on her ISATs.
{you should ask her about those. we wrote a limerick about them}
but we did have bonding time.
before i tell you this next story, i should preface it by saying that i got one hour of sleep the night before.
literally. one. hour.
my friend and i slept from 5:30 to 6:30.
so here’s the story.
before she actually got here, i was anxiously awaiting her arrival.
i was watching a movie with a friend and had fallen asleep.
i remember waking up and thinking, dude, where is dizz?
so i decided to text her and ask her where she was (i may have been trying to ask if she was close...)
she never responded.
i was super annoyed.
then she got here, and we were talking, and she pulled out her phone and showed me this text i sent her and asked what i had been trying to say.
this is the text i sent her...
”5p6. 2hl8s teboug”
yeah go figure that one out.
{and yes we now will randomly text each other texts filled with complete gibberish.
it’s awesome.
anywho...
then we went out to eat with some of my friends.
and then she would just come hang out with us randomly.
my friends all insisted that we were the same person.
we both protested profusely.
we aren’t the same person!!
it wasn’t until 20 minutes before she left that i realized we are.
we were in the bathroom, cleaning/getting ready to go,
the music was going, meaning there was a dance party going on.
i realized that we were both doing the exact same dance move.
not one of her signature ones that i do on occasion.
just one that i do randomly.
and so does she apparently.
i guess we are quite similar.
whatevs.
it’s all good.
i like being compared to the picture above :)
ok fine.
i’ll give you a more normal picture of us.

precious, right?
