i have received multiple text messages in the past 2 days about some exhibit in the hfac.
yeah i’m having an identity crisis. nbd.
it was an interesting exhibit.
this “tithing child” is also the youngest of 10, and the exhibit had 10 refrigerator doors, and each was dedicated to one of her siblings (she had one too).
there was a blurb about each of the people next to the door.
some of the doors were covered in pictures, but some only had 3 or 4.
it was actually a cool idea.
but i’m still having the identity crisis.
but let’s think about this.
my parents went and served a mission when i was the only one still at home.
so in a sense, they did give me to the church (along with themselves), as tayte so soothingly pointed out.
it might be a bit of a stretch, but it works for me.
i was tempted to put a sticky note next to her exhibit explanation.
i would have been nice…sort of.
dear “tithing child,”
my name is tenery.
take that.
love, the real tithing child :)
but you know…let her think what she wants.
i still consider myself the real tithing child.
word, g’mon.
