yesterday was a bit crazy.
a lot happened, which resulted in a lot of thankfulness.
consider yourself warned.
1. we are healthy and strong
2. byu {and the opportunity we have to be here learning so many things. i may complain about how crazy it makes my life, but i really am blessed to be here}
3. my last 371 test score {had i not done well on the last test for that class, i would be really nervous that i would fail that class. i’m not overly worried now}
4. billy joel {he keeps life fun in a very laid back kind of way}
5. the noshh/snack zone {first off, i can eat my sandwich in there without being afraid of getting in trouble. also no one notices if my music is a little loud}
6. new furnace {i woke up this morning and i wasn’t even cold. our apartment=perfect temperature. i’m in heaven. bring on the cold.}
7. our managers {they actually care about the residents. i’ve had some managers in the past that seemed like all they wanted to do was assert their authority. these guys take care of things right away and want us to be comfortable}
8. kitchenaids {i just got one of these. confession: i haven’t actually used it yet, but i’m dreaming of all the things i can make now without having to stand there and stir. also, it was free. so i doubly can’t complain!}
9. tayte {he always holds my always-like-ice hands in his always-ridiculously-warm hands, even when he probably wants to put his in his pockets to keep them warmer. also he has 4 coats, so he doesn’t mind that i make one of them smell like a girl. also he explains things so well (see story below)}
ok i have a quick story.
so last night, i was telling tayte how sometimes i have problems communicating my thoughts about the temperature/thermostat.
example, when i’m cold, i always want to say “turn the air down” because if i were in a car, i would turn the air flow down.
anyway, he was attempting to explain it to me, and he said
“it’s like math. if you want 67 eggs, you put the number at 67. if you want 80, you put it at 80.”
so helpful. love him :)
yep, my life is awesome! :)

Haha love the eggs analogy!! That totally makes it easier for me!! And PS next time you do roast, chicken or pork in your slow cooker....use your kitchen aid to shred it. Dump the whole bunch of chicken breasts or the whole pork roast in, attach your paddle mixer and literally in 8 seconds it is all perfectly shredded so you can bag and freeze some, have a pulled pork sandwich, throw it in an easy casserole or even on quesadillas....the kitchen aid is THE BEST thing to happen to my cooking life.
