Oh. My. Heavens. My bestestfriend Jeffrey Duff is amazing. Really. He never gets mad at me and I never lie to him. And apparently I haven't written anything for 8 months because I haven't had anything to say, but because I have now become friends with Kevin I can now begin blogging again. So here we go. (and of course they didn't tell me to say that...)
Let's see. Where did we leave off? Ohh...way back when. Before fall 2009 semester. That was 8 months ago. Crazy how time flies. I've been studying at BYU for the past two semesters and I loved it. I had the greatest ward with the most amazing bishopric. The people in my ward were just amazing. I don't know what else to say. I made the most amazing friends. uh-maz-ing. We had some amazing times. It was so fun. So so so so fun. Amazing, amazing, amazing.
So right after winter semester ended, me, my bestbeastfriend, my bosom friend, and my G cookie (Jeehee Cho, Rylee Carling, and Brooke Boggess--4 of my best friends) flew to Puerto Rico for some serious relaxation. They were there for about 10 days and it was amazing. Oh heavens to betsy! So relaxing. But once they left, I was all alone. I hadn't been alone in about a year. I didn't know what to do with myself. I mean, yeah I had my parents, but let's be real--they're busy and don't always listen to my random off-the-wall comments. But my friends and I are all the same and when we're together, we just talk and talk and eat and talk and sing loudly and talk and talk and eat and play games and talk. I couldn't sleep after they left. I had to get used to sleeping by myself without talking to someone til I fell asleep. My brain wouldn't stop buzzing. Weirdest thing...
Anyway, then Craig and Justin came for a week. That was an adventure. Justin speaks no spanish whatsoever, so he'd just speak to people in Ukrainian and hope they understood...they didn't. So that was exciting. They're goofs. Love those boys. Anyway, the next week was transfers, meaning that our house was naturally overflowing with missionaries! They are just so happy and I LOVE it!! I really miss that little island and my crazy amigos already and I've been gone for 3 days.
So for some strange reason, I was really excited to go back to Provo. I'm kind of embarrassed to be confessing this. but I have a legit reason, so I'm fine. Some of my favorite people in the universe were going to be there. First off, there's Caroline. She moved in winter semester after living on a boat for a while. I swear every word out of her mouth has me rolling on the floor laughing. So naturally I was excited to be with her. Then there's Jeff. I already said it. He's my bestestfriend. 'nuff said. He's just fantastic. He always makes me laugh. love that kid. We just might have too much fun together. Then there's Matt. I didn't really become good friends with him until near the end of winter semester, but he's amazing. He also just makes me laugh. We have good times together. We're BAFs. don't even ask. You wouldn't even get it. Anyway, these three are up at BYU right now, going to spring semester. They just make my life.
So as I type out this ridiculously long blog post, I'm listening to music. The song Home by Daughtry just came on. Whenever it comes on, I think of all my family members (yes all million and a half of you) and how much you all mean to me. I know it's kinda cliche of me to say that I don't know where I would be without you, but it's seriously the truth. The song just said "I'm goin home...to the place where I belong...where your love has always been enough for me." How true that statement is! I can not wait for the day when I get to be with my family again!! It's fun to be with friends, but it feels so much better to go home. (where I belong). I feel like I've been away foooooooooorrrreeeeeevvvvvvvvveeeeeerrrrrrrrrr!!! (I don't think I've ever actually seen that movie, but I felt like it was appropriate to quote). I have the most amazing family. I'm counting down the days for when I can sit in someone's living room (usually Charisse or Thelissa's) and listen to everyone talk and watch Denny throw his ring up in the air and catch it while lying on the floor ... with Ray asleep on the couch with a baby on his stomach ... with Clate laughing uncontrollably (and yes his face is red) ... with Scott popping my toes ... with Eric telling the funniest stories ...with Brad giving a motivational speech (mostly for stay-at-home moms) ... with Thelissa hitting Denny for making fun of her ... with Stephanie laughing about the awkward date she and Denny went on ... with Charisse also laughing uncontrollably (only after Clate explains the joke to her) ... with Andee talking about how she's home schooling her kids ... with Brigett talking about the dance she's doing (even though her baby is due in like a week) ... with Beth telling us how she just ran a MillionK ... with Emily dealing with the harassment from the men regarding her love life ... with Craig telling us how he's a ladies' man ... with Naomi talking about how she's reforming Bret ... but Bret couldn't actually be there, so we just got one of my friends to come in and pose as him because apparently "they look alike" even though no one really sees it ... with kids running around like maniacs (and yes one of the kids will either throw some heavy object over the loft or try to flush a rubber duck down the toilet which will result in water pouring from the roof) ... and with the parentals are skyping some computer in a random room ...and then there's me. Just sitting and taking it all in because I love it. and if I'm not sitting in the middle of it all, I'm either in the kitchen eating Denny's salsa or I'm dominating a game of Scum with the sobrinos...and no matter what I'm doing, I love it because I'm in heaven.
I just want my amazing family to know that you all are truly the most important people in my life. I'm so glad that we have all eternity to party it up. So thank you for everything. Love you all. So so so SO much! See you soon!
Over and out
