craig and i just got back from a very very quick trip down to arizona. one of craig's best friends, zach brough, was getting married and craig was one of the groomsmen. justin wasn't going down, so craig needed someone to go with. we went down on tuesday and came back friday. so basically, we were only in arizona for two days. but oh was it worth it. i was able to make some much needed visits to some dear friends and was able to see some of the clan. i just love love LOVE my family. they are the greatest. i've missed living in the midst of them (and yes i did just say "in the midst") these past 3 years. but that's the great thing about family--distance doesn't change a thing. i'm so grateful to have been given such an amazing family. thank you charisse for always letting me stay with you and thank you clate for always letting me drive your car (he has an infiniti...seriously, sweetest. car. ever.) thank you to the rest of you for just being who you are!! i can't wait until i can go back and spend more than 48 hours with my favorite people in the world :) love you guys!!
random side note--one of my favorite moments of the trip. i was at stephanie's, and lizzie was getting some doggy treats for rocky. she comes up to me and says "wanna see something gross about me?" i'm thinking, how can i possibly turn down this opportunity?? she then proceeded to eat part of one of the doggy treats. the norm.
other random side note--johnnie is HUGE. seriously! when he would come up and give me a hug, i thought he was going to topple me. i can't believe i'm admitting to this, but i bet he could take me down. the kid is monstrous. sheesh.
