today has been such a great day.
we had regional conference.
the speakers were steven e. snow, julie b. beck, jeffrey r. holland, and boyd k. packer.
and president packer—yeah he’s adorable.
took me back to the day my parents got set apart.
we were standing in the hallway, taking a picture with elders bednar and christofferson.
we realized that we needed someone to take the picture for us.
just then, the elevator dinged, and my mom said that we would just ask whoever was getting off to take it for us.
this guy walks out in some grubbies, and we figured he was a janitor until president packer walked out behind him.
president packer took one look at our large brood and, startled, said “are they safe?”
then as he was walking past us, he saw the only baby we had with us (pace).
he pointed to him and said,
“i’d trade him for two duck eggs.”
except there’s a little discrepancy in our family.
we don’t know if he said duck eggs or decades.
regardless…he’s just a cute little old man.
and then later, we had a CES fireside.
richard g. scott was the speaker.
he was just the greatest.
i’ve decided that apostles are so much more fun when they’re not in conference.
they do a lot of fun things, and speak differently.
elder scott told us that “it’s just plain stupid” for boys to stand in line in front of girls.
and that we shouldn’t go to the movies on dates unless we’re married because “it is stupid.”
gotta love the apostles :)
i would like to mention that i have an amazing ward.
like i love it. very muchly.
we’re still getting to know people.
…and by that i mean getting to know the girls.
we pretty much know all the boys ;)
but it really is the greatest.
all in all, i had an amazing day.
i love sunday naps, curry, ward wrap up, apostles, friends, pictures, asians, food, and saturday’s warrior.
oh and i love love LOVE sundays :)
