so i had this epiphany.
my life is only missing one thing.
and i feel like since i’ll be 20 on my next bday, i can splurge a bit.
it’s the perfect time to get the one thing that will make my life complete.
any guesses on what that might be?
i’ll just tell you.
a bird.
hmm…random much?
”let me explain. no, there is too much. let me sum up.”
let’s go back and start from the beginning.
so i’ve always been a dog person.
not such a big fan of the felines…
…unless of course it’s a tiger.
but i always thought that if i ever got a pet, it would be a dog.
or a lion.
but you catch my drift.
ok so i have this friend in my ward.
his name is alan dennis.
and he has a quaker parrot.
his name is goose.
alan introduced me to his bird one day.
goose and i are great friends.
he’s basically in love with me.
and oh how i love that bird.
no biggie, right?
we’ve shared some hardcore bonding experiences.
none that need to be shared publicly, but they were special.
most of them may or may not involve goose pooping on me.
i mean, whatevs. no biggie.
and now i’ve decided that i need one.
not want.
oh no no no no.
need.
the only other thing i need is some moolah.
i called my dad last night at like 11 to tell him about my decision. (and by that i mean i told him he could go ahead and get me one for Christmas)
he said it was “too late to talk about that kind of stuff.”
psh.
so i called him back this morning.
i told him that “getting me a bird would be the greatest thing in the world.”
you know what he said to that?
”how about i get you an MLT instead?”
(please tell me you caught why that’s so funny…)
yep. he’s a loony.
but i will have a bird someday.
mark my words…

{and for those of you with no knowledge of the outside world, this is a quaker parrot. i don’t know if i’ll get one of these, but this is more or less what goose looks like}
