"this is not an excuse to unleash your creepy tendencies."–one of my professors, about some people on halloween

thinking back through today, i have a major regret.
i regret not taking my camera, and i regret not taking as many pictures as humanly possible.
ok that was two regrets.
i knew there would be a lot of people dressed up, but i wish i could have gotten a picture of some of them.
thankfully the daily universe had someone taking pictures today and they were all posted on facebook.

here are some pictures of the ones i actually saw:

link! (i never saw zelda, though apparently there was one)

my abstract algebra professor told us multiple times during the past few classes that we should feel free to dress up and bring candy on halloween because she was.
oh boy.
here’s the thing.
my professor is one weird lady, so i had no idea what to expect.
here is a picture of her my friend sneaked in while she was writing on the board:

when she walked into the classroom, my first thought was “you can’t just throw on any random thing you have and say you ‘dressed up.’”
apparently she was the mad hatter.
whatever.

today, i also saw:
about 12 waldos
waldo's dog
carmen sandiego
hippie
a few indiana jones;
3 katniss everdeens
some vampires
some pirates
some egyptian woman
the joker
pippi longstocking
golfer
fantastic mr. fox (complete with an enormous fox head)
robin
thing 1 (never saw thing 2…)
big bird
a few witches
a flinstones character
velma from scooby doo
darth vader
michael phelps
belle from beauty and the beast
power rangers (i was studying in the periodicals when i heard someone yell “power rangers assemble!” and then 5 people dressed in identical, but differently-colored power ranger-ish outfits sprinted out the doors and up the stairs.)
perry the platypus
pikachu
hungry hippo
highlander (complete with some bagpipes which he did actually play when asked)
teenage mutant ninja turtle
alfalfa---i guess
dalmation
daphne from scooby doo
galadriel (from lord of the rings)
a minion
ladybug
gothy girl from ncis
jack sparrow
cruella de vil (i think)
jedi (obi-won i think)
peter parker
fiona
playboy bunny (totally modest)
tonks
rapunzel
some kind of raggedy ann type doll
Rosie (we can do it!)
painter guy--bob ross
some kind of ninja-y person
policeman
luke skywalker (complete with yoda attached to his backpack)
baby pink loofa (i tried to get a creeper picture of her, but i couldn’t)
bob the builder
cats
show white
thief
math nerd
tinkerbell
robin hood
phantom of the opera
not to mention the 30+ people with the awkward "i don't know what you are/if you're actually dressed up" costumes

i guess some people really like halloween.
tayte and i didn’t dress up.
we’re just sitting here patiently waiting for some trick-or-treaters.
if any come.
we heard some little kid voices a while ago, but they never came.
{the only person to come by is a kind of telemarketer-type guy that was trying to get support for…something. i kinda tuned out. i did hear him say something about reasons for tayte wanting to tell him to ”…beat it like michael jackson and get off your doorstep.”}

i guess we’ll just have to get sick from all the candy…
