tayte and i went on a little date tonight.
yeah, on a wednesday.
you can do whatever you want when you’re married.
get over it.
so tayte has been dying to see brave.
to be honest, i wasn’t all that excited to see it, but i was a little curious.
so guess what we did on our date?
yep yep yep!
and here’s the thing.
i loved this movie. (tayte did too)
first off, please notice her hair.
yes there’s a lot of it.
yes it’s completely out of control.
yes it’s bright red.
yes it’s awesome.
she is my hair idol.
but the movie was pretty good too.
i really did like it.
i don’t want to give a story synopsis, but this story is basically about a mom and a daughter that don’t quite see eye-to-eye. they get in a little fight and the daughter makes some rash decisions, almost ruins everything, and then the mom and daughter have to work together to make it right again. (it reminded me of freaky friday…except with less lindsay lohan and more awesome red hair. oh and just better.)
it made me think a lot about my own mom.
we’ve definitely had a couple rough patches, and our relationship isn’t perfect, but she is the greatest woman i’ve ever met.
i’m so grateful for her and for all she has/continues to teach me.
i love you mom :)
